Snow in St. George is pretty rare, so when Bransyn saw that it was snowing earlier today, he realllly wanted to go outside and play in it! We don't have any snow clothes for him, because, well... cause it really doesn't snow here! haha, so I just had to bundle him up as good as I could for him to go play for a few minutes! He had a blast! :) He was catching the snowflakes on his tongue, he made a few snow balls (that really weren't in the shape of a ball...) and threw them, and ran around in it! It only took about 10 minutes before he was DONE and wanted to go back inside! haha. He's like his mama & likes snow for just a little bit, but if it's here too long... I'm not too happy ;)

EGD #2
Bransyn had his second EGD done today, to see if things have improved, stayed the same, gotten worse, etc. He has been doing SO much better, that I knew he had to of gotten at least some-what better! I wasn't AS nervous for it as I was last time, just because he had been through it before, so I kind of knew what to expect. But of course, I was still freaking out inside, because having your child sedated and out of your care for a procedure is ALWAYS a scary thing, no matter how many times they have had it done. Amanda came with us this time, because Ryan wasn't able to stay the whole time since he had a lot to do at work, so he stayed until they took Brans back, then had to leave, and I just kept him updated. He did really well with everything before they took him, they gave him the medicine to relax him again so that he wouldn't freak out when they took him away from us. That's always the worst part. Watching someone else wheel your child down to an OR, without you. Ah, not fun! ha. Anyways, then me and Amanda went and waited in the waiting room for about 45 minutes-an hour, until Dr. Kaddu came out to update me! When I saw him walk through the doors, I could just tell by his facial expressions, and his body language that things had improved. And that's exactly what he told me when he got over to us. He said that everything went smoothly, and his esophagus looks SO much better, and it's really clearing up! Ahhh, relief. He said that since things are looking so good, we can take Brans off the medicine for now, then he will have a follow up appointment in the office in about 6 weeks to get the results of the biopsy, and also so we can update Dr. Kaddu about how B does in the next 6 weeks. (if he's started throwing up again, saying that his tummy hurts, etc.) I'm pretty relieved that we get to take him off of that dang medicine! Even though he has been doing better with it, it's still heartbreaking to have to give it to him! Glad it did it's job, now hopefully we won't have to deal with it again :) A little while after we talked with Dr. Kaddu, a nurse came to get us to go back & see Brans. She said that he didn't want to wake up, but she was gonna have us come back anyway, to see if he would maybe wake up for me. She was right. He didn't want to at ALL. Poor kid was so tired. Finally after about 15 minutes of trying to get him up, he did. The nurses took his IV out, got him bandaged up, I got him dressed, then filled out the discharge papers and we were ready to go! I feel sooo lucky that he doesn't have a hard time with the medicine they use to sedate him with... they warned us both times that sometimes kids are really MEAN and WHINEY when they wake up from sedation, because it makes them feel funny! But both times, he hasn't really had a problem. Just a little fussy, because he's still so tired from it. There was a little girl that had also just woken up from sedation across from us, that was just screaming, and kicking, and freaking out, it was so sad! I just wanted to scoop her up! :( But very glad my little man didn't have that problem. When we got in the car, I gave Brans his treats that I had gotten for him the night before for being such a good, BRAVE boy during the whole thing! So proud of my little punk ♥

Teefy x-rays.
Brans has been complaining that his teeth have been hurting lately,(not all the time, maybe once every few days) but I hadn't really thought much of it, because he's a little fibber, and likes to say stuff like that to get out of eating. ANYTHING to get himself out of eating. Weirdo. Anyways, Ryan's sister was over, and she was brushing his teeth, and checking his teeth, and she said it looks like he might have a cavity. Greaaaat. So now I feel like a horrible mama, because I thought my kid was telling me his teeth hurt to get himself out of eating his food. So she told me that she was going to work the next day (she works at the dental office B goes to) and to bring him in and she would take an x-ray, even though they were closed that day. So I took him in today, and she did the x-ray, then the dentist looked at them from his home computer. He said B definitely has a cavity, but there were also some other weird things he couldn't tell for sure if it was just his tooth, or if they were more cavities. Joy. So we have to go back in to get it check out by the dentist, and get whatever cavities he has filled. Gah, I don't know HOW this kid is getting so many cavities! We don't let him have a whole ton of candy, and he's not a big sweets person. He'll take one bite (if even THAT) from cake, brownies, cookies, etc. and be done! I'm not sure if it could be his medicine causing them, since he we have to mix it with Stevia... not sure if that could hurt his teeth or not, though! We brush his teeth EVERY single day, and it's never just a half-assed job. We make sure his teeth are clean. He never goes to bed with juice in a sippy (he doesn't even drink out of sippy cups anymore!), and we still dilute his juice a whole ton! Just makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong. I dunno, maybe he has bad teeth. Which would be weird, because neither Ryan or I have bad teeth, so it wouldn't be from genetics. Hopefully we figure something out, cause I hate feeling like a bad mommy because my 3 year old has already had cavities. :(

Paging Dr. Tabet...
B-man loves his Dr. set that he got for Christmas! He puts the stethoscope in his ears, and goes up to everyone and says "How can I do for you?" (meaning, 'what can I do for you'... not sure why he says it like that! haha) and he'll ask what you want him to listen to. He will also take his little play syringe, and tell you to take your medicine so that you feel better. It's so funny, but amazing cute! I think little man is gonna be a doctor when he grows up :) maybe ;) hahha, better start putting $100 dollar bills in his piggy bank every month ;)

B is THREE! :)
Bransyn Kieler Tabet is officially a THREE YEAR OLD!!!
My goodness, I just can NOT believe that I have a three year old! It for real feels like I just barely met this handsome little man for the very first time. It just boggles my mind that it has REALLY been three years old.
His birthday are so, so bittersweet for me (and Taislee's will be too... except I'm not even allowing her to turn a year old :) On one hand it just tears me apart that my once-7-pound-5-ounce-teeny-tiny-baby is now a big 'ol three year old. But on the other hand, it has been the absolute BEST experience of my life watching this little life grow up. He may have one INSANE attitude, talks back, acts like... well, a three year old boy, but he is the silliest, smartest, funnest, most handsome three year old boy I have ever met in my life. I'm pretty dang lucky I get to call myself his mama forever & ever :) I love you to the moon and back, Mr. BKT, hope you have had an amazing 3 years so far, and can't wait to spend soooo many more with you!
Now, let's move onto this little big boys birthday, shall we?
We started out the day with some PLAY DOH! What better way to start out your 3rd birthday?! Yeah, I don't think there is one, either.
He was makin' some pretty fancy animals with that doh.
After breakfast, play doh, playing with new toys for a while, and getting ready, we ventured off into town for some more birthday festivities.
Brans got a FREE birthday lunch from Wingers...
Pretty sure his favorite part of the entire lunch was the popcorn. Kid loves his popcorn.
He ordered some mini corn dogs, oranges, and fries. Perfect lunch for this boy.
After we finished up with lunch, we headed over to Target so he could pick out a new toy. I don't have any pictures of that, because I didn't take my camera into Target with us, but he ended up picking out a little yellow tractor. We tried to give him other choices. BIGGER choices. But nope, all he wanted was that tractor, so that is exactly what he got, and he was pretty dang excited about it. He wanted it out as SOON as we got into the car.
We then headed over to Baskin Robbins to get the birthday boy some BLUE ICE CREAM! His fav.
He even ended up with a blue tongue!
We were planning on going to a movie as well, but as soon as we pulled up, B-man decided that he didn't want to go to a movie, so we headed home instead!
At home, we still had his birthday party balloons up outside. We went inside, got some sharpies, and the three of us each wrote a birthday wish for Bransyn on a balloon.
{there's his tractor!}
After writing our wishes, we released our wish balloon into the sky!
Birthday Boy thought it was pretty neat to watch them get higher, and higher, until we couldn't see them anymore!
Inside, Brans chose to watch 101 Dalmatians before dinner. With his brand new tractor by his side, of course.
We had dinner, then we put 3 candles in 3 cupcakes, and sang to our 3 year old one more time.
And he got to open his last present from mama & daddy.
More Play Doh! Good thing, because this three year old has taken a special liking to Play Doh!
We got in jammies, and read some books to end his birthday.
The exact minute he was born, three years later :)
We love you sooo much, Brans. You have brought sooo much joy to our lives these past 3 years, I can honestly say life would be BORING without you! Just please do one thing for mama, and slow down just a bit on the growing... it's getting quite hard for me to keep up! Love you little man, Happy, Happy Birthday.
