Halloweekend 2010!

Bransyn was a cute little pirate for Halloween this year! & the cutest pirate I have ever seen, if I do say so myself ;)
Saturday we took him out to the trunk or treat at a church by my dad's house & trick or treating on Saturday night, because Utah is super lame & doesn't like to celebrate Holidays on the actual day. Whatever, Brans didn't care & he still had a blast! (:

We had to give him a 'dirty pirate face' (:

Trunk or treating!

After he hit all of the cars at the church, we headed over to my moms neighborhood for some trick-or-treating! We taught him how to knock on the door & say 'Trick or treat!' then either put his bucket up, or pick a treat. He got to be a pro ;)

After we were done there, we headed over to Bryce's grandma's neighborhood to go out with Manda, Bryce & Camden. As if Bransyn didn't already get enough candy from the first 2 places! haha. But him & Vampire Camden had a blast! They kept holding hands & running, while laughing their little bums off. Cutest. Thing. Ever. Seriously, I wish my camera would take good video's in the dark! I guess a few pictures will have to do (:

After we finished there, we decided to head to just one more house.
Ryan's parents!
{even though by this point he was SUPER grumpy & ready to just go to sleep!}

Ha, yes my hair is pink. I tried to get at least a little bit into the whole dress-up thing, without actually dressing up. It kind of looks funny in the pictures, lol.

His candys!

Enjoying a piece of candy before it was time to go home & go to beddy! (:

Sunday, we were invited over to one of Ryan's co-workers house for a little Halloween get-together. We had dinner there, which was spaghetti with meatball eyeballs. haha, it was so cute & sooo yummy! (: Then we just kind of visited & Bransyn played with their kids & all the toys.

We had a fun 'Halloweekend' this year (:

Pop!

When I woke up this morning, I touched my belly & thought it felt kinda strange. After a second, I realized that I could totally feel my uterus popping out right under my belly button! It felt like there was a ball in my stomach! So I pulled my shirt up over my tummy & saw this:

My uterus is growing out of my pelvis & into my lower abdomen! Usually when I lay on my back, my tummy just kind of sinks in - like it's doing at the top. But little peanut's movin' on up! (: My belly has been starting to 'show' a little bit, because of how much it was poking out in my pelvis.. which it still is, it's just doing it a little higher now, too! (:

12 weeks!

Okay, still not too much of a change.
Well, at least not in my belly.
I have been feeling a tad bit better during the day, though. Still pretty nauseous at night, but hey it's a start right? I'm hoping that by the time I am out of my first trimester, I will be completely over this CRAP!
On another note. I seem to not have total control of my bladder anymore. AWESOME. I had my first sneeze pee experience on Saturday... While there were people at our house during our caramel apple/pumpkin carving party. Good thing I was standing behind the counter & was able to get to my room to change before anyone could see. It was funny, but I'm sure if someone would of seen that, it wouldn't of been so funny anymore. ;)
Lets hope that doesn't happen very often.
I never once had any issues like that while pregnant with Bransyn.
Maybe your bladder gets weaker with each pregnancy? hahah

11 Weeks!

Here's my 11 week chubs. haha. (again, no food to compare it to... I'm slackin' on that!)
Nothing much has changed, sigh.
Maybe next week?

First Ultra Sound!

We had our first ultra sound today! I was super excited about it. We had a 10 week ultra sound with Bransyn & it was way cool to see him that small, I was kind of bummed cause I didn't think we would get such an early one with this little peanut. But since I had surgery on my cervix last year, I am at higher risk for having an incompetent cervix. I have been really freaked out about that since I found out I was pregnant (even though it usually won't cause problems until the 2nd trimester) so I talked to one of my Dr's about it at my first appointment last week. She decided that it would be good to have an ultra sound to check on that. Also, I wasn't completely sure of my due date, because my cycles are longer (34 days) so I wasn't sure if that would affect the dates, or not. So we wanted to see how accurate my due date guess was!

Unfortunately, Ryan wasn't able to go with me because of his work schedule :( it was kind of short notice for him to ask for it off, & we also want to save his hours off for our 'big' ultrasound in December & also for our 3D/4D one around 30 weeks. So I asked my mama to come with me, so that I wouldn't be alone.

We finally got back into the ultra sound room, I layed down & got asked about a billion questions. Then she finally squeezed a huuuge glob of the super fun gel on my belly & we were ready to get started! After filling my bladder to the maxxx & having to pee like CRAZY, it was finally time to see my little peanut! Well, not quite yet... we had to look at my cervix first. I was quite relieved that the U/S tech was able to look at it from an abdominal ultra sound instead of the, uhh.. other kind, but boy the way she was pushing & angling that thing on my stomach was quite uncomfortable & actually a bit painful. But I stuck through it ;) She said everything looked fine so far, so that was a relief! After that, it was finally time to look at the baby & get some measurements! She found him/her just layin' around in there & I instantly saw a fluttering heartbeat (: I asked her if she could tell how fast it was, so she showed us the heart rhythms & it was beating 166bpm! A little slower than Bransyn's was at 10 weeks (his was high 190's!) but still a good, strong heartbeat! I was happy to finally know that it has a good hr. Then she did the measurements. I was fully prepared for her to tell me that the baby was measuring a little bit smaller than what I had thought, since that happened with Brans, but to my surprise, she said it's measuring 11w1d instead of 10w6d! That's only a 2 day difference, so she said that my dates won't change, which is fine with me. I still get to have this baby earlier, remember? haha. Luckily, I had a really nice tech, so she let us watch the baby for a while (: She got a few pictures & even switched it into 4D for a few minutes! It was way cool, even though the baby was pretty hard to see, since it's still such a little pea. The only time we ever saw Brans on 4D, he looked like a dinosaur! & we never got any 3D pictures. I was pretty bummed that the machine couldn't record the ultra sound, it only took stills. I really wanted to be able to show Ryan since he wasn't able to make it. We were able to get a video of Bransyn at 18w5d, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting one of this baby :( Oh well, I'm glad we got some good pictures!

This is the 3D one - if you couldn't tell! haha

Isn't s/he sooo cute already?! I definitely think so! ♥

23 Months!

Only 1 more month until our silly little boy is TWO years old! Sounds crazy, I know... but it's true :(

• his favorite thing to say right now is 'Happy Birthday' I have NO idea why, but he says it alll the time. Sometimes I'll ask him, 'Who's birthday is it?' & he'll say 'Ash'

• he CAN say A-J of the alphabet, with no help. he has done it a few times, but sometimes he's a stinker & doesn't want to show off his skills ;)

• he will repeat numbers 1-10 after me, but can really only count to 3 on his own. he has done 1-5 once, but just that once.

•he's been sleeping a lot better. he still has some issues going right to sleep, but usually he will stay in his room at least.
-I think I have figured out WHY he has such a hard time going to sleep when we tell him to:
He used to take 2 naps a day - 1 around 10:30 am & 1 around 4 pm... both lasting about an hour each. A while ago, he stopped taking the 4pm one, so he was just having one nap in the morning, but it would last anywhere between 2-3 1/2 hours. Then, about 2 months ago, he stopped taking that one nap in the morning & would take it after we got home from babysitting, about 2:30-3 pm. Well since he's going down so late, he sleeps until about 6-7 pm. So when we put him down for bed, he's not quite tired yet. But he HAS to have a nap, or he is super grumpy & just plain unhappy. Hopefully we will have a fix to that problem soon (:

• he has been eating better! he still has his days where he doesn't eat much, but for the most part, he is eating more than usual at one sitting.

• he loves to 'hide, hide!' under a blanket, when either Ryan or I come home from somewhere.

• he saw a Red Robin commercial on TV one time, so now he loves to say 'Reddd Robin.... YUM!' One day when he was supposed to be taking a nap, I was out on the couch watching TV. It had been quiet in his room for quite awhile, so I thought he was asleep. Then a Red Robin commercial came on, & all of a sudden I hear his door open & he goes, 'Reeeed Robin....*very long pause*....YUM!' Then proceeds to close the door.

• he has quite the attitude, these days! if he doesn't get his way, he is NOT happy! Another story for ya: I was waiting for one of my shows to come on one night (Teen mom :) And I got some oreo's out. He came up to me & asked for one, so I handed him one. He went over to the table in the living room, took 1 bite & put it down, then he came back for another one. I told him that if he wanted another one, he had to eat the first one all gone. So of course, he starts throwing a fit. So I told him if he was gonna be a brat, he could go to his room. So he starts walking towards his room, stops, turns around, walks over to the TV, turns it off, looks at me & gives me the EVILEST glare, then walks to his room. I could not believe he did that, but I am STILL laughing about it today!

• he's actually starting to like watching movies now. the one he's been watching a lot lately, is Monsters Inc.

• his favorite TV shows right now are, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (he loves the hotdog dance!) & Chuggington... of course since he loves 'choo choo chain'. he'll take a little bit of Handy Manny some days, but others when it's on, he'll come up to me & say 'Hanny Manny' while shaking his head no.

• when he doesn't want something, he'll shake his head no while saying it. like, if he wants a drink, I'll ask him if he wants moo juice (milk) or apple juice. then he'll say 'moo juice' while shaking his head no, & 'appo juice' while shaking his head yes.

•he will repeat pretty much anything you ask him to! he might not pronounce everything right, but he definitely tries!

I just can't believe that my next 'month day' post will be about a TWO YEAR OLD!

Announcing to the world. . .

That baby number 2 is on it's way!!!

Due date (as of right now) is May 12, 2011.
Making me just over 10 weeks (:

If you would like to read everything I have documented in this pregnancy so far - weekly updates, the OFFICIAL 'announcement', videos of us telling everyone, ect - then click here.

You will have to scroll down to the very bottom to read the older posts first, & then go up so that you read them in order.
(:

Enjoy!

Telling the parents. . .

We told all of our parents about the baby this weekend. I printed out a picture from my 'ultra sound' (ha, even though it wasn't a real one) And got some bibs that said 'I love grandma' & 'I love grandpa' I got a little gift box thingy & some light pink & light blue tissue paper. I placed the picture in first, & then the bib over it (or in Ryan's parents - bibS) So when they opened it, they would see a baby bib, then they would pick it up & see the picture of the baby. This is the one that was for Ryan's parent's. My mom's just said 'grandma' & my dad's just said 'grandpa' on the picture. We decided to record each of them opening the boxes to get their reactions! (:

It kinda seems like my mom wasn't very happy, but she thought we were kidding! haha. That's why she's just staring at the picture for so long. I stopped recording right as she got up to give me a hug & tell us congrats! She really is happy, I promise (:

I'm sooo glad they are all happy for this baby! (:

Staheli Farm 2010

Going to Staheli Farm around Halloween time each year is a must now. We started going last year, & had a ton of fun. (even though Brans was only 10 1/2 months) They have so much stuff to do there for little kids. He still can't do quite everything, but he still had a blast! This year, we went with Amanda, Bryce & Camden again. We took the kiddo's to see all the animals - cause you know they're o b s e s s e d with any kind of animal. Me & Manda took them on the cow train. Cam was super duper excited from the second he sat down... he didn't want to wait for everyone else to get on, he wanted to go RIGHT THEN. haha. Brans wasn't too sure about it. We started going & I thought he was liking it, but once we got into complete darkness & the driver was going in circles, he started getting scared. I always love going on those, even though they're meant for little kids. But this time... I was SURE I was gonna throw up as we were driving through the cows. Worst. Smell. EVER. Didn't even smell like normal cows. I don't know what was up! haha. After we were done with that whole dealio, we went to find Ry & Bryce - They were getting food. After they ate, we were gonna take the boys on a pony ride, but by the time we got there, I guess they were done for the night :( I was kinda bummed about that. Next time, I guess. Since we could no longer do that, we decided to head over to the corn maze. Well, head over to the line for the tractor ride to take us over there. Line was LONG. So the babes found some little 'tractor trikes' (as I like to call them) to ride on while we waited. About 15 minutes later, we finally got over to the corn maze. We found one of the entrances & started. Pretty much got lost instantly & all of us decided that it probably wasn't the best idea. haha. So after being in there for about 5 minutes, we began trying to find our way out. Not so easy in the dark. Even when you have a map. So we took (or made) some 'shortcuts' & finally got out. We went back to get on the tractor ride to take us back up to the farm, headed over to the truck & we were home bound! It was a fun time, but I think next time we go... we'll skip the maze (: haha
Enjoy the pics from our fun trip to Staheli Farm 2010!

First Appointment

We finally had our first prenatal appointment today! After waiting for FIVE lonnnnng weeks! Ryan was able to come to this one, so that he could hear the heart. Unfortunately, with his work it's not easy for him to get off of work for each appointment. So we decided that he would go to the first appointment, the 'big' ultra sound, & our 3D-4D ultra sound we will have later in the pregnancy. & if anything else comes up that I would feel more comfortable having him there for. He was there for almost all of my appointments with Bransyn, so it's gonna be kind of lonely going to all of these by myself, but there's not really much for him to do anyways, so I'm okay with it (: haha.
ANYWAYS.
I got to do all the super duper fun stuff that goes along with a first appointment.
(I'm sure all you mama's know what I'm talking about, haha) But I'll spare you the details.
I talked to Lisa about a few things. Flu shots, what to do for nausea, figuring out my accurate due date, ultra sounds, ect ect.
And then FINALLY, it came time to hear our precious baby's heartbeat. She got the doppler out, squeezed a big glob of gel on my tummy & began searching. I was expecting it to take a minute to find the HB, cause it took a minute with Brans. But after searching for a few minutes with no luck, I started to get freaked out. I didn't show it, but inside I was like 'oh my gosh, my worst fear is happening' Ryan knew I was getting freaked out, even though I wasn't saying anything. I'm pretty sure he was telling me everything was fine, but I was so focused on listening for the slightest sound of a heartbeat, that i don't really remember. Finally, Lisa had the 'helper' go out & get the portable ultra sound machine thingy (looks like a laptop, ha) so that we could SEE the heartbeat, just to make sure everything was okay. She got started with that, & right away there was a big circle thing on the screen. She told us that was the gestational sac. I quickly looked all over & saw... nothing. For a split second I felt like my heart was gonna explode, thinking that I had a Blighted Ovum. Then Lisa said, 'That little white blob is the baby' & I was relieved. But as I looked at it, I didn't see any 'flickering' to indicate a HB. So yet again, I got scared. She moved the little wand (as I like to call them) in a bunch of different directions to try to get a view of the HB. FINALLY, she says that right there is the heart. & I saw a verrrry teensy little dot flickering. Ahhh, relief! Then I guess the baby started moving it's arms up & down. haha. I couldn't really tell... but Ryan said afterwards that he saw it move a bunch! I guess it must of been the position I was in, so I couldn't see the screen too well. I'm bummed I didn't get to hear the heartbeat, cause I wanted to know how fast it was. And of course, I loved hearing Bransyn's, so I couldn't wait to hear this one! But I'm just glad that we KNOW there is a live, active baby in there with a beating heart. That's all that matters to me.
So we finished with that, & they gave me a packet to read about prenatal testing options that Dr. Lunt will talk to me about at my next visit. Then Lisa told me that she wanted me to have an ultra sound next week to get an accurate due date, and to also make sure I don't have an incompetent cervix, from the surgery I had last year. So I got that scheduled for Wednesday, the 20th at 2:30. Can't wait to see my little sweet pea again - but for REAL this time. haha. I also go back in 4 weeks, on November 10.

here's a picture of our little white 'blob'
You can't see it too well, that's why there's a big red arrow pointing to it! haha.
& sorry for the quality... this isn't an actual U/S picture. She just froze the screen so that I could get a picture of baby with my camera (:

I'll make sure to update when I get my U/S on Wednesday!

10 weeks!

{no pictures yet... baby is the size of a prune & I don't have one right now, haha}

We are officially 1/4 of the way through this pregnancy! (well, hopefully! if they don't change my dates)
I'm definitely not feeling amazing like I was hoping last week, haha. Nauseous pretty much 24/7. I'm lucky if I get even just a little break from it. I would seriously rather throw up than just feel nauseous. At least after I do, I feel better for a bit! I have learned not to take my prenatal vitamins on an empty stomach, because it will definitely come right back up! I made that mistake by forgetting to take them the night before, took it right before leaving for work & as I was waiting at the door (at the house I babysit at) I was feeling sicker than I have yet, this whole pregnancy! Oh, it was horrible. Never doing that again!
I'm still super tired. I'm so ready to have some energy back! I hate not being able to do anything during the week cause I'm so worn out!
I guess I could of summed this whole post up in, 'Nothing has really changed from last week, except maybe feeling even worse!' haha

Oh, I'll add another little cute thing that Bransyn has done. I have a pregnancy book that has an image (drawing) of what a baby looks like at each week of pregnancy. I showed him one of the pictures one day, & told him 'That's what our baby looks like in mommy's tummy!' He points to it & says 'MOON!' haha.

Caramel Apple Party!

Last night, we had a caramel apple/wii 'party' at our house. We invited my mom, Amanda&Cam, Tammy & her kids, Ryan's mom & his sister over. Ryan's cousin & his girlfriend also came over a little later. We got some pizza's for dinner. mmm. Then it was time for our crazy Caramel Apple Bar. We got a bunch of different 'toppings' for them, so they weren't just plain. They were quite messy to eat, but they were yummy (: I couldn't even finish mine, though. haha. So. Much. Caramel!
We just bought a Wii a few weeks ago & I insisted on getting the game 'Just Dance' SO much fun. We've played it a few times, but it is definitely a lot more fun playing with a bunch of people to take turns with. It definitely wears you out, though!
We all had so much fun! 3 years ago, I never would of thought that I'd be at home on a Saturday night, making caramel apples & playing wii with family, at only 20 years old. But really, I can't think of much else I'd rather do (:

Apparently it was a hit, cause we were told that we should do it at our house more often! Next time, Ryan needs to invite more of his family! They heard about it a few days later & were kind of bummed they missed out. Ryan's fault ;) It took 4 days for him to finally call his mom to invite her... which might I add was about 3 hours before this whole thing started! haha. Slacker (: I think we'll do it again the weekend before Halloween, but also carve pumpkins!

9 weeks!

I am now 9 weeks pregnant! yay! Only a few more weeks of this whole first trimester crap. Yes, it is CRAP! I was definitely wrong about the whole 'morning' sickness thing creeping up on me. I haven't thrown up again since last Tuesday. Which I guess is nice. But I am nauseous 24/7, which is almost just as bad! It's also making it so that I can't eat very much. I'm just glad I am able to eat & I don't have to deal with the starving feeling for way long. I usually have Carnation instant breakfast in the morning, and I used to be able to drink the whole thing. But lately, I'm lucky if I get through half of it before feeling like I'm gonna puke it up. (eh, sorry! ha) I also just share my lunch with Bransyn now. I don't eat all of it anymore, so instead of making 2 servings, I'll just make 1 & we'll split it, and we're both good to go! I do feel like I could eat sweets more now, though! I was craving those Hostess Cupcakes SO bad the other day! I also always want taco's from del taco for dinner. Cause of course, NOTHING ever sounds good. Except taco's. I thought I was gonna start making dinner more since I went shopping, but again... I'm way too exhausted & nauseous to get it done. I really hate it! Did I mention I can't wait for the first trimester to be over yet?! Ahh! Oh, and my house is a mess, yet again. I think it's mostly because this week I have been working 3 1/2 hours extra, so by the time I get home I am just dead & can't do anything. Also, I'm not getting to nap with Bransyn during the day anymore (just while I'm working late) because I have the other kids to watch. I can't wait to go back to napping with my little buddy next week! Our appointment is 1 week from tomorrow & I'm getting more & more excited & anxious each day! We have also decided that after our appointment, we will tell our parents about this pregnancy, then announce it to everyone. I reallly wanted to wait until December, because I had cute/fun ways of telling everyone... but I just can not hold it in much longer! I think Ryan really just wants it to be out, too. I'm trying to think of some fun ways to tell our parents, but I dunno what to do yet! Anyways, not too much has changed this week... still feeling like crap (: Hoping next week I can say that I am feeling amazing! Not counting on it, though (:

On a cute note ♥ The other day I asked Bransyn what we should name the baby (just to see what he'd say) & surprise, surprise... he said 'TRUCKS!' hahah, so now he calls him/her 'baby trucks' (: Ahh, he is just too cute!
