Lagooooon!

On Sunday, my family had planned a little birthday celebration for Ash, since her birthday was a few days earlier. My grandma, my aunt Carrie, my aunt Tammy & her kids were in town as well, so we all went over to my Aunt Pam's house to celebrate. We ate a yummy lunch & had some cake & ice cream. After that, Ash opened some gifts from them. Then a few of the adults took all the kids over to the park that is right behind my aunts house, & we all just kind of relaxed for a bit. Then I said I wanted to go to Lagoon, but there was no way I was gonna pay over $80 just for me & Ry to get in. So we probably weren't going to go. But my aunt started talking about how they have a cheaper price if you have a certain amount of people that's just over Labor Day weekend. So the goal was to find 6 people so that we all only had to pay $25, instead of $40 to get in. So the plan was for me, Ryan, Ash, her friend Jamisen & my cousin Hayley to go. We just needed one more person! If we had 4-5 people, we could all get in for $30 - but if you know me, I like to pay as little as possible for things, haha. Cheapo (: So we were trying to see if anyone else wanted to go, but no one wanted to. Then someone said that we should just go & find someone there that was gonna pay full price & have them go in with us, so that we could all save money. So we decided to just do that. Well we get there & we're looking around for someone, but we everyone has either already paid to get in, has a season pass, or is doing the same thing as us. We were standing out there for about 15 minutes, but I just said that we should all just pay $30 so that we didn't waste anymore time, since it was already about 3pm. So we just dealt with paying the extra 5 dollars & went in to playyyy! I haven't been there since I was pregnant with Bransyn, & I was only able to go on one ride. Plus, it was on the 4th of July, so it was extremely hot! Add pregnancy into walking around in that crazy heat & you get one miserable girl! haha. So I was really glad that I was actually able to do stuff this time & it wasn't THAT hot. It was actually pretty perfect weather. We went on tons of rides & I was even able to take my camera on them all. Although, I didn't get pictures/videos on EVERY ride, since I was kinda too busy holding on real tight to pull the camera out & hold it, haha. I think the best rides of the day were the Jet Star 2, Wicked & the Scrambler (I think that's what its called?) Me & my cousin LOVED the scrambler! It was seriously so hilarious & fun. That's a ride that I recorded us on it the entire time. It did kind of suck though, because my camera died a while before we left, so I didn't get AS many pictures/videos as I wanted. Or on all of the rides. But that's okay, the ones I did get are good (: We left around 9:00, cause it was getting pretty windy & cold, plus we were all exhausted! And I was ready to get back to my sweet baby. Who was being watched by my aunts & my grandma. He got to go shopping with them ;) haha, but they said he was really good & had a fun day. Anyways, here are a few pictures from our day at Lagoon! I would post videos, but even though they are funny... they're kind of embarrassing! ha! So these will do (: I wish it were possible for us to go back in October for Frightmares, I heard that's really cool!

After we got Brans, we headed back to Ashlyn's house & they all played kings cup again, but I was super duper tired, so I just went to bed. The next morning, we got up & packed everything up, then headed over to visit with my grandma & grandpa before we left town. On our way out, we stopped at a book store so that I had something to do on the way home & also got some lunch. Then we were off! It was a pretty fun, but crazy trip! I wish we had time to visit more people, but we were kind of on Ry's work schedule for the first 2 days, then Sunday was family & Lagoon. We still really enjoyed our little vacay, though! (:

Ry's Diesel Events in Salt Lake

This weekend, Ryan had to work another diesel event. Since this one was only in Salt Lake & it was longer then a day, we decided to make it a family trip & stay all weekend. As soon as we got into town on Friday, we headed over to Rocky Mountain Raceways where the first event was being held. We were there for a while, but I started to get bored just standing around while Ryan worked & ran around, so I decided to take Brans over to my grandparents house to see them for a while. I visited with my grandma for about an hour, then she showed me the way to Ashlyn's house {where we were staying} After that, I headed back out to RMR to take Ry some food & pick him up. After about an hour there, we headed back to Ashlyn's for the night.

The next day, Ryan had to be to Ogden in the morning. So we got ourselves packed into the car & made the 45 mile trip North. I didn't feel like staying there, so I drove back to Murray, went to Smiths & got some donuts for me & Brans, then headed back to Ash's house. She came home for a while for lunch, so we visited with her then. After that, I tried to get Brans to nap. He definitely wasn't going for it, so I ended up taking a half-nap {i was asleep, but aware of what was going on... dunno what else to call it! haha} in Bransyn's pack 'n play bed, while he just layed & talked next to me. Around 3pm, I finally decided to get ready & get us some lunch. So we headed over to Taylorsville to get some Sconecutter! We just got the food to go, then headed back to Ogden for the second part of Ry's Saturday events. I was going to surprise him {he wanted me to come back, but I told him I wouldn't be back for a while} since I thought I knew where he was gonna be at. He told me that the next even would be at the Fairgrounds. When I had left him that morning, I saw signs for the fairgrounds, so I figured I could find it from there. So I finally get to Ogden & follow the signs for the fairgrounds. But oh guess what? There was a ton of road construction & the road I needed to be on was blocked off, so I had to take a detour. But the stupid town said to go one way & that was it. There were no more signs telling me what road to turn on after I got off the main road. So I drove. And drove. And freaking drove around for EVER! Finally, I decided that surprising Ryan just was not going to happen. So I gave in & called him, almost in tears because I was lost in a STUPID town that i was not familiar with what-so-ever. He told me to go to the fairgrounds. I told him that I had been searching for it for 45 minutes & could not get to it. So he's telling me all these roads that you take to get there & not ONE of them sounded familiar, from what I had seen so far. I FINALLY find these stupid fairgrounds. But can't find where I'm supposed to go in, or even where Ryan is at. Then he tells me to get on the main road again & go towards where I had dropped him off that morning. So I do. Then he tells me to go all the way down to this road, turn on another road & just go straight & I'll run right into it. So I do it. Well guess what. The stupid event was NOT at ANY fairgrounds.... it was at some freaking Stadium thing! Ryan told me fairgrounds, so that's where I was going. Gosh, I was soooo mad! haha, I'm mad again just typing about it. I was practically in tears & about to jump back on I-15 & leave him there, to find his own way back. But instead, we went & watched the event. Brans loved it! they were doing a thing where the trucks pull some big machine thingy down the dirt & see how far they can go. I dunno what it's called. They also had this big monster truck there, which now Brans is OBSESSED with monster trucks! Every truck he see's now, is either 'big truck' or 'monster truck' His eyes were glued to the event the whoooole time. We finally left around 9:30 & headed back to Ashlyn's house. They were playing 'Kings Cup' there, which was sooo funny! Especially since I was the only one not drinking, it made it THAT much better (: haha.
Anyways, here are a few pictures from Ry's events:

The rest of the weekend will be in the next post!

Chuck E Cheese!

I know this is a TOTALLY random place to go now days, but we were driving around Saturday night & saw a Chuck E Cheese so we decided to take Bransyn there to see what he thought. I haven't been there in YEARS! I was probably like 8 or 9 the last time I went there, haha. It was crazy (:

So we just got a little pizza & than let Bransyn watch the show and play some games.

Watching the 'performers' haha

Takin' a ride in the big truck!

He liked sitting in it when it was stopped... but as soon as it started moving, he wanted nothing to do with it! haha.

He also wasn't too fond of this one, haha!

Ryan shot some hoooops.

And punched some ducks with Bransyn. bahahah.

He did a little better in this moving car... but still wasn't his favorite thing ever. haha.

We knocked all of the horses teeth out (:

He held on to me SO tight when I was sitting there! haha

Tried so hard to smile.....

He HATED those things! haha. They were fine from a far, & he actually enjoyed watching them... but once he got close, he wanted nothing to do with them! hahah Wouldn't even let us get a picture of him standing by them. Oh welll... they were kinda creepy ;)

Daddy counting the tickets!

We all actually had a pretty good time. That was the first time that Bransyn had played arcade games, and he had a blast with them. Although, I'm not sure if we will be going back again.. I think we got our Chuck E Cheese fix for a long time! hahah It is nice going back to places I went as a child... brings back memories (:

Emma's Birthday Party!

While we were in Salt Lake, my friend Karisha had her little girls (who happens to be Bransyn's future girlfriend ;) first birthday party so we went to it (: It was really crazy, cause I totally remember having one of my birthday party's in this park when I was little!

B had a blast playing on the play ground!

Giving the adorable birthday girl loves! (:

He was obsessed with these cute puppies! He kept trying to feed them leaves & grass. haha

He went across monkey bars for the first time (: (with daddy's help, of course!)
It was kind of hard to get him to stay in the birthday party crowd, cause he was so into that playground. So we did a lot of back & forth so that he wouldn't throw a fit, but we could still be AT the party, haha.

Sweet little Emma eating her cake!

Bransyn giving Emma kisses before we left... so sweet (:

I'm glad we were able to join them for Emma's party.
Happy First Birthday to the cutest little girl! (:

The Living Planet Aquarium!

On Saturday, we went to the Living Planet Aquarium again, since Ryan had never been and they had gotten penguins since the last time me & B went.

Jellly fishies! (:

The octopus!

Seahorse!

As always, Bransyn loved all the fishies!

We love the stingrays! (:

Grabbin the tail ;)

This is one thing that we didn't do last time! There was this uhh, I dunno what to call it... bar type thing? that had like 5 or 6 little open tank thingys, where you could touch the 'creature' inside of it. This pic we're touching a star fish! (:

PENGUINS!!!

You can't see them too well in any of the pics I got, because of the glare on the glass, as well as the water splashes on the glass, but I did get a video of them! They were SO cool & CUTE! Definitely more exciting than the ones at the zoo, haha! They were all so playful & would jump in the water, swim around & then jump right out, landing on their feet!

That's a turtle at the bottom (:

We had a way fun time, there! I'm soooo glad that the penguins were there this time! (:

The Hogle Zoo!

We finally made it to the zoo!!! I have been wanting to take Bransyn since the day he was born! haha. So when I made the Salt Lake trip plans, I made sure we could make it to the zoo one day! We went on Friday, & it was a pretty perfect day to go (: It was sunny, but not tooo super hot! I think I was the most excited one to go! haha. I haven't been there since I was little little, so it was really fun to go back.

I totally remember drinking out of this when I was little ;) And being suuuper scared to stick my head in there, cause I always thought it was gonna close on me! haha

The first animals we saw, were lotttts & lots of monkeys! there were seriously SO many different kinds there! This was only one part though, there were a bunch more in other parts of the zoo! Since B knows what a monkey is & what they say, he thought it was pretty cool to see real ones (:

Our little family (:

Than we saw the Elephant. Yes, only ONE! I was pretty bummed about that, since they have a new little baby one, named Zuri, but she wasn't out :( Bransyn could not take his eyes off of this one, though! I love elephants though, so even though there was only one, it was still awesome!

These giraffes were so cute & funny! At first (this is kinda gross, but soooo hilarious!) the male one was like sniffing the females behind. And all of a sudden, she just starts peeing! hahah. He pulled his head up & made the BEST face! After that, they were all cuddly & stuff! It was way cute (:

This leopard just kept pacing back & forth in front of this window. It was kinda sad that he was so bored that that's all he was doing, but funny at the same time.

These alligators (or crocodiles? I can't tell the difference! haha) were HUGE! I was really hoping to see the albino one that they had there, but I found out later that it was only there for a couple months a few years ago. I guess it just goes around to different zoo's all the time, it doesn't belong to just one. Ohhhh well (:

B-Man had so much fun on the Merry-Go-Round! He didn't want to get off! I seriously wish we had one here, cause both times that he's gone on them, he loved it!

Unfortunately, this was the only 'big' monkey that we saw. The orangutan was either gone, or hiding. But he was still really cool (: & the crazy thing is, there was just a random peacock in his exhibit with him! haha.

He loves the choo choo!

My little turtle ;)

{for some reason all of my pictures didn't upload, but most of them are on facebook if you wanna see more!}

Although we had a fun time, I was pretty bummed that there were a bunch of animals hiding, or too far up in their exhibit that we couldn't see them too well! There were also a TON of animals that weren't even there. No Zebras, Lions, Bears, (they are in the middle of making a new underwater exhibit where the bears usually are, so they had none) Chimps, Jaguars, or Hippo's. The tigers, rhino's, kangaroo's, wolfs, & a few other things were up really far so we couldn't really see them that well. I don't even remember all the ones that were hiding completely. It seems like a lot of their animals are getting old & dying. The camels looked really sick for some reason, I felt bad for them! I wish they would of had more 'sea' creatures, or whatever they would be called, like sea lions! Even the penguins were reallly boring. Didn't move an inch! haha. And I remember when I went when I was little, they had a petting zoo, that is no longer there.
Wow, I promise we really did have a good time with the animals we DID see, though (: I just hope next time there's more to see ;) Cause I would definitely like to take B back sometime!
