Water slide!

Yesterday we went to a friends little boy's first birthday party! They had a big blow up water slide & Bransyn had an absolute BLAST on it! He did not want to get off of it, or give the bigger kids a turn. I seriously wish we could buy him one of these, because seeing how much fun he was having on it, just made my heart smile! (:

Tonight, I went & got this little gem:

.... and I am in LOVE!

I have wanted one for, oh I dunno... for EVER?! And I was finally able to talk Ryan into letting me get one. But, not JUST for my personal use. I'm sure every one that reads this blog knows how much I LOVE everything about photography & that someday I want to be the best photographer ever {okay, maybe not the BEST, but hopefully a pretty good one!} but we got this so that I can start practicing and hopefully soon I can get a business going so that I can help bring in some money {and, well... pay this baby off! ha!}
I am absolutely AMAZED at how much better the photo quality is with this camera vs. the other ones I have had. I seriously wish I could of gotten it 3 years ago, so that all the photo's from my pregnancy with Brans and on could of been amazing!
I can't wait to learn everything about this camera {and boy, is there a LOT to learn!} and start taking some even more awesome pictures!

Next on my shopping list:
1 - Adobe Lightroom 3
2 - some morelenses
3 - external flash

We moved. . . :(

After only 11 months & 2 weeks of having our own place, we moved right back out of it & into Ryan's parents house. Definitely not what I had in mind. If you're wondering why we moved, I will tell you.
Basically, Ryan got a new job. But, it's not just a JOB. He & 2 of his friends have their own Diesel & auto shop together. It's a new shop, & they're still trying to get everything they need, so a lot of money is being put into it, meaning Ry isn't bringing as much home as he was before. {YET!} Once they get everything they need, and they get more business {they already have quite a bit, but not enough to make what he was making before just yet} So anyways, right now we don't have a very steady income from him working. We're not sure how much each check is going to be, and if we will be able to pay rent + all of our other bills. And basically, we don't want to screw up our credit, or rental history, or get our power/gas shut off if one month we aren't able to pay a bill. So since our lease was up at the end of June, we decided that the best thing to do right now, would be to move out of our very first home {tear :( } and move into Ryan's parents house for a while. Definitely not ideal to be living with other people, but we are SO very thankful that they have opened their home to us, so that Ryan can have his dream job & we can get back on our feet. Luckily, they are very easy people to live with & it's a great place for our children to be! But I still hope we are able to get another place of our own within the next couple of months, just because I have LOVED living on our own! It's been so nice, and I'm pretty sad that it has come to an end. I'm trying to stay positive about it & remember that this is such a great opportunity for Ry, give him all the support in the world and everything will be much easier once they are settled into the new place, and he can start making some good money again! So anyways, if you were wondering why we had moved, that is why!

Annnd, now all 4 of us are nice & cozy in one bedroom. Luckily most of our stuff we were able to store in the back garage, so we don't have a ton of crap we aren't using laying around. But we still don't have a whole ton of room for the things that we DO need inside of the house.

And this is how it looks now that everything is set up. I still don't have any place to put a few things, like all of our DVD's & a few boxes of paperwork stuff. Every single wall is completely lined with something, haha.

Our closet. I thought it was a pretty nice sized closet {for a non-master bedroom} until I had to put ALL of our clothes in there. Ryan's don't even fit! Annnd, this is just the clean stuff. I have 3 baskets of laundry I still have to do.

Poor Brans, he has SOOO many toys, that half of them have to stay packed out in the garage {but he'll sure be excited when he is able to play with those ones again... it'll seem like he's getting a ton of new toys! haha} So this is all of his inside toys, taking up the whoooole floor of the closet! haha



Anyways, so there's the story of our little bump in the road! Hopefully within 3-6 months, I will be updating about us moving into a new home for the 4 of us! (:

T's 2 month well-check!

Today was Taislee's 2 month doctor appointment! (: My baby girl is now 11lbs 12oz - just one ounce bigger than Brans was at 2 months! BUT, he had actually gained more by this point, since he was 7lbs 5oz at birth & 11lbs 11oz at 2 months - she was 7lbs 8oz at birth & now 11lbs 12oz! (: She is in the 64th percentile for weight. She is also 23 inches long, which is the 91st percentile. She is definitely a tall girl! Annnd, her head circumference is 15.35", which is the 76th percentile! Dr. Hubbard says she looks great & is growing perfectly! She also had to get her 2 month shots :( I was so not looking forward to it, especially since the 2 & 4 month shots were the hardest on me with Bransyn. But she did AMAZING! Pretty sure the worst part for her, was the oral one. After the first little sip, she didn't want anymore! {funny, since those were always B's favorite! haha} I finally got her to take it all, after quite a few breaks! haha. Then it came time for the first 2 in her left leg. I was seriously prepared to ball my eyes out & just swoop my sweet baby up & cuddle her forever. The first one went in, she kind of tensed up, but she didn't cry. Then the second one went in & she had her little pouty face going pretty quick, then she cried. Luckily, it wasn't a scream, it was just a cry. The nurse hurry & put the last one in her right leg, & I picked her up to calm her down. Within seconds, she was fine. I just cuddled & talked to her! She even smiled at me literally less than a minute after they were done! I was so relieved, I thought she was gonna hate me, haha. I feel SO lucky that both of my kids have done so well with shots {so far} I seriously feel sick every time they have to get shots, I always feel so horrible when they are in pain :( But they definitely make it easy on their mama! (: So anyways, little miss Tais is doing amazing & is just perfect! (: She goes in for her 4 month appt in Sept!

I was dreading it, but it finally happened. . .

2 months!

Miss Tais-Ella is 2 months old today! (:

• she is the SMILIEST little baby ever! as long as she's in a good mood & not tired, she's constantly smiling at me! she will smile at every one else, too... but mama definitely gets the most smiles! (:

• she is an AMAZING sleeper! she has been sleeping for 8-9 hours at a time at night since June 19. she goes down between 9 & 10 pm, then sleeps until around 6-7 am. she'll eat, then go right back to sleep until 9-10 am! she also sleeps really well during the day - which is a LOT. I swear she sleeps more now, than when she was a brand newbie.

• she goes to sleep on her own, no needing to be held or nursed like Mr. B did.

• she has started cooing and making cute noises! I just love them. the past few days, she has even been squealing a little bit when she gets really excited. so. dang. cute!

• she is starting to notice the toys on her bouncer. when I first put her in it, she'll just stare and 'talk' to them & get her little arms & legs going so quick!

• she has mellowed out a lot. she hardly ever cries anymore. usually only when she's hungry, or extremely tired. or just when she wants her mama ;) for a while there, I thought she was borderline colic-y. I think she was just adjusting to life on the outside, though ;)

• she is most definitely a mama's girl so far!

• she is still an amazing eater.

• she is SO strong. she has always been really good with holding her head up, but now she's pretty much pro! she's even been trying to pull herself up the past week or so! I need to get this girl a bumbo, cause she reallly loves sitting up. if you sit her up on your lap & just hold onto her hands, she holds herself pretty well & has amazing balance for a 2 month old!

• she sleeps in her swing. I know, it's gonna suck trying to break that habit... but she just sleeps SO good in there!

• she is getting so chunky! seriously, the most adorable thing ever is baby chub. her little leggies have probably quadrupled in size since she was born! haha.

• she is such a sweet little baby. I seriously kiss her cute cheeks all.day.long!

• she is still lovin' the tubby. she's even doing much better when I take her out & put lotion on. sometimes she still fusses a little bit, but that's better than screaming bloody murder ;) haha

• I painted her toesies for the first time the other day & it was SO hard! she did not want to hold her little leggies still. she kicks those suckers constantly! after I was able to wash the polish off of the skin around her toenails, they looked super cute! (:

• she likes to push up on things with her feet. 80% of the time that she's in her bouncer, she will pull her feet up, then put them down & push herself up. seriously, WHY is my 2 month old baby doing this already?! hahah.

4th of July - 2011!

We had a great 4th this year! On Sunday night, me, the kids & Amanda drove out to Kanab to stay at my grandma's house so that we could go to the parade the morning of the 4th! As far as I know, there was no parade in St. George & I was DETERMINED to take Brans to a parade for the 4th, for once. {2009, we were in Vegas. last year, we were in Roosevelt... no parade either time, boo!) It was nice being able to spend some of the holiday with family, too! (:

B wasn't too sure what he was supposed to be doing, as far as getting the candy goes. The people would throw the candy, and we'd tell him to go grab some, but he'd just kind of stand there & stare! haha. Luckily, my cousin Jessica was willing to help him out a bit! (: The only other parade he has ever been to, was for the rodeo last year & he definitely doesn't remember that! haha. But he had fun (: Espesh when the fire trucks came by & sprayed every one with water! He thought that was pretty great!

We stayed in Kanab until around 3pm, cause Amanda had to be to work by 5. We had lunch & just hung out. Brans got to play with all the kids, and I got to relax a bit before heading home. It was a nice little >24 hour getaway from home, haha!

When we got home, me & the kids played for a little bit before I made 4th of July dinner for Brans & I. We had grilled chicken, baked potatoes & broccoli! (: Wasn't very festive or anything, I should of made some kind of red, white & blue dessert or something, but I guess I just didn't have the time! haha.

Around 9, we headed over to the park for fireworks! (: While we waited for them to start, I took Bransyn on the big bouncy slide! He wanted to do other things too, but we got there about 10 minutes before they started shutting everything down /: He loved the fireworks, though! Tais even watched them! (:

{you may notice her shirt is a bit big on her. Well, that would be because I am a huge slacker & waited until the last minute to get her a 'First 4th' outfit & this is the ONLY one I could find in the whole town that was cute. It was the only one left & it is 6-9 months. Yeahhh, my baby wears 0-3 months still! haha. So it was in the dryer for a lonnnng time, it shrunk some, but not quite enough}

After the big fireworks, we went home so Brans could do sparklers & poppers! He loved them! But poor little man grabbed the burned part of one of the sparklers right after it finished & burned his little hand. I guess he didn't believe us when we told him it was hot, be careful & just throw it on the ground. Curious little boy, I tell ya!

Can't wait for next years 4th! I have a ton of fun ideas {pretty sad I think of them AFTER the day is over & cant do them anymore!} haha
