Mickey Ears!

Our good friends Sam & Candyce went to Disneyland a week ago and brought back Bransyn's first pair of Mickey Mouse ears! Even though his head's a bit too small for them right now, I think they look SO cute on him.. Right? haha, just thought I'd share the pic's! (:

Two Months Old!

Bransyn turned 2 months old on January 20. I soo can't believe it's gone by that fast, but I also can't believe that he's only been here for that long.. sometimes it seems like so much longer(if that even makes sense? haha) I don't even remember what my life was like without him anymore, & I most definetely don't wanna imagine what life would be like without him!

Welll, here's a little update on our little big guy! [o:
He has been such a good baby from the beginning! He hardly ever cries. He does fuss when he doesn't get his way, or if he's tired.. than he's obviously pretty cranky! Oh, and he now has a fake cry. Yes. He has already learned to pretend to cry when he is not getting his way. Can you say spoiled? haha. So he likes to fake it, and he thinks he's pretty tricky. Good thing I can tell the difference between cries. haha. He has also discovered the fake cough. It's the funniest thing, cause he does it & smiles at the same time, so you can tell he's just trying to get attention. He's usually pretty happy & loves to smile, laugh, talk, yell & play! I absolutely LOVE it! He has thee cutest smile everrr, with those big ol' cheeky's! Sometimes when he smiles reaaaaal big, he'll make this little squealing noise. It's the most adorable thing! His happiest times are when he first wakes up in the morning & after naps! I always look forward to him waking up from his naps cause I know he'll be so happy & smiley! It's so fun! (: A few new things that he does now; I'll stick my tongue out at him & he'll try to copy me & try sooo hard to get that tongue out! He does get it sometimes, but other times he gets so mad cause he can't quite figure it out, since he's still learning how everything works! haha, it's hilarious. He also likes the sound of me 'clicking' my tongue. He'll just sit & stare at my tongue & get the biggest smiles on his face! He's attempted it a few times.. haha, obviously he can't do it yet. Just moves his tongue up & down (: Another thing he tries to copy, is when I open my mouth realllly wide & say 'Aaahhhhh!' He'll open his & try to make the same noise.. he doesn't quite know how to make that exact noise, so he'll make his own. Personally, I think his noises are cuter anyways (: OH, and he 'Yells' at us to get our attention. If someone's holding him & you look away for a minute.. he'll definetely let you know he's still there. hahah. & it's so funny, cause his little yells sound just like he's saying 'HEYYYY' Cute, right?! He loves to stand on his legs. I don't think he likes it too much when I have to sit him down.. but it's not good to let him stand on his legs for a long period of time. But they are definetely pretty dang strong. He's ready to walk already! hahah. I'm sure he would like that. He also loves sitting up. He holds his head up REALLLY well, so I think he'll be sitting up by himself in no time! He can do it by himself for like 5-10 seconds when he's sitting on me, & longer when he's holding onto my hands to help support him. And sometimes when he's laying down, I'll let him hold onto my thumbs & he'll try to pull himself to the sitting position. He does reallly well with pulling himself up, he's very strong! He has two play mats with the toys that dangle above his head, & he's startin to get interested in those! He'll lay under them for a good 10-15 minutes usually.. give or take a few. but than he gets a little bored & would rather be held. But he does get pretty excited & gets his leggy's goin for a while! He loves his bouncer.. usually. haha. He reallly wants to be able to grab the toys, but he still doesn't know how to work his hands very well quite yet... so sometimes he gets mad at that too! haha. He most definetely does not like tummy time. hahah! I'll put him down, & he's perfectly fine for about a minute.. MAYBE! Then he'll start fussin and flaylin his arms & legs all around. We gotta work on that one, for sure. He eats reallly well.. as you can tell by all the cute chub he's got goin on! haha. He knows how to let me know when he's ready to eat by opening his mouth & turning from side to side. He very rarely cries when he's hungry. The only problem we've really had with him, is getting him to sleep by himself in his own bed. I had planned to always have him sleep in his own bed, but when we brought him home, Ryan INSISTED on letting him sleep with him. So he got used to that. After a while of freaking out everynight, in fear of rolling on him, having he blanket go over his head & suffocate him or him getting smacked in the face.. I kept trying to put him in his own bed. Didn't work. He aboslutely hated it. I tried getting him to sleep first, than putting him in there.. but he'd wake up 10 minutes later & not sleep again unless he was with me. (And of course since Ryan went back to work, I am now the one to take care of him at night) I tried making the bed softer. Nope. I even tried laying in there with him one time. He didn't go for that either. I found out that the only way he would sleep by himself, was in his carseat. But we weren't too crazy about letting him sleep in that every night & during naps. So the other day, I read this thing that says swaddling them helps them sleep. He's always hated being swaddled, but I thought I'd try it anyway. Anddd... It actually worked! haha. I think the combination of that & a different bed(we now have him in a cradle instead of the pack-n-play bassinet) helps him sleep! He has slept the past two nights successfully by himself(: although, with the exception of waking up to eat once a night, and than going right back to sleep again! YAY! Now all we need is to eliminate that one feeding during the night, than we'll be goood! (: He is also the bigggest cuddle bug! He loves to be cuddled. & I love when he's in that mood, cause I can just lay there & hold him so close to me & he loves it just as much! I call him my little love bug(: hahah
Hmm.. he's growing & learning more & more everyday. About 2 weeks ago, he started out-growing his newborn clothes :( So they are now being passed to his cousin. It makes me sad that he's not that little anymore sometimes.. but I also love seeing all the new things he does, & watching him grow. Plus, he gets cuter & cuter every day! haha. Welll, I think that's all for now! I guess that wasn't really a little update. But that's what's happening with our handsome boy now! (:

Grandma & Jeff's Visit!

This past weekend my Grandma & my cousin Jeff came from Salt Lake to visit & meet our new babies! They hadn't had the chance to come meet Bransyn right after he was born, due to her working, being sick & nasty weather. So I was pretty excited that they finally made it out! I love it when they come, since I only get to see them a couple times a year. It sucks being so far away! Anyway, so they got into town at about 9 Friday night & came to our house. Bransyn was sleepin, & getting passed around woke him up.. So he was a little bit cranky. But Mr. Camden just slept right through the whole visit! (: They only stayed for a little bit that night, but came back Saturday afternoon & spent most of the day here with us. I'm so happy Bransyn finally got to meet his other great-grandma, & his 'uncle' Jeff(even though he's really his second cousin[: ). It was soo nice to see them. I really wish it could happen more often & for a longer period of time! We'll have to take a trip up north sometime soon so Bray can meet the rest of my family!

Kisses for Bransyn!

Bransyn's Doctor Appointment!

Today, Bransyn had his 2 month doctor appointment!
He is now:
11lbs 11oz- In the 50th percentile.
23 3/4" long- In the 75th percentile.
& his head is 15"- In the 36th percentile.

She said that he is doing great, looks really good, & is perfect size! (I was thinking he was gonna be big for his age..)
She also said that he really strong & holding his head up like a champ (:

He got four vaccinations today.
3 shots in his legs & one they do orally.
He LOVED the oral one! haha, it must of tasted pretty dang good, cause after she gave it all to him, he was wanting more! (:
He did super good with the shots too! They did the DTaP first in his right leg, & only fussed for a few seconds! Than they did the other two in his left leg, & he cried on that one a little more.. but still not a whole lot! She said that he did reallly good with them, & that most babies cry a whole lot more than he did! I'm so proud of my big boy! I could tell that it was hurting him though, cause I had been holding him close to me with his binky in his mouth, trying to comfort him & keep him calm.. So when I put him down to get his clothes back on, he started fussing a bit. But since then he's been doing great.. even been smiling & 'talkin'! He's such a brave boy! (:

My New Nephew!

Just seven short weeks after I had Bransyn..
My baby sister had a little baby of her very own!


On January 8, she was scheduled to be induced 16 days early, due to low amniotic fluid levels & a failing placenta. She went in at about 10:30 am, they started her half an hour later, and she had him at 5:28 pm! 16 years old, first child & only a 6 hour labor?! Soo not fair! hahah. She did everything in half the time I did. And she did soo amazing. She handled the contractions & pain soo well, & got him out in half an hour! I'm a little embarassed to say she did a heck of a lot better than I did! haha, She didn't cry once.. even during the worst part of her labor! I am so very proud of her for doing such a great job!

Cam is now almost 2 weeks old & is doing wonderful! He had some trouble eating when he was first born. Being over 2 weeks early.. he didn't quite get how to suck yet. He slept reallly well though! haha. He is now eating fabulously, & even starting to get some cute chub, just like his cousin! Although, he's got quite a bit to go until he is caught up to Bransyn. haha. He also had jaundice when he was first born, so he was under the billy lights for a few days until his billirubin levels went down. But he is all better now, thankfully & those icky lights are long gone! (: Manda & Bryce are doing so well as new parents! They just love their new little boy to death.. as does his new auntie. I'm so excited that Bransyn will have a cousin so close in age that he can grow up with & he will always have a best buddy :D

I can not wait to meet my very first nephew, I know he is gonna be a little stud! It's gonna be SO fun watching him & Bransyn grow up together. If he ends up being born tomorrow, him & Brans will be exactly 7 weeks apart! (:

Catching Up-Bransyn's Birth.

So since I'm new to this whole thing.. i thought I'd start by catching up on the past 6 weeks of our lives, starting with the labor & birth of our son!

Bransyn was due on November 13, but he had decided that he didn't wanna come out quite yet. My Dr decided to schedule me to get induced one week later if i hadn't gone into labor on my own by then. Well, Mr. Bransyn is very stubborn & wanted to stay in there until he absolutely HAD to come out! So, after what seemed like the longest week of my life, we FINALLY got the call to go have our baby on Thursday, November 20 at 5:30 am. We made it to the hospital at about 6:30. They checked me(I was dialated to a 2) & started my induction at 7. Shortly after, Ryan & I got to take a little nap.. since i didn't start feeling the 'bad' contractions until about 10 when they turned the pitocin up. After they turned it up, I was having extremely painful contractions on top of each other. They checked me again around 12(a 3 this time) & decided to break my water & give me the epidural to get things going a bit faster. -I must say.. the anesthesiologist was pretty much my new best friend, haha. SO glad i decided to get an epidural!- After that, I didn't feel any pain at all! No contractions. No back pain. Nothin! I actually got to relax & sleep through most of my labor, which made it go by soo much faster. Around 6:45 pm I was at a 9+! All the nurses started getting ready & bringing everything into the room. That's when it reallly hit me that this was really gonna happen & in a short time, I would become a mommy & meet the little guy that had been living inside of me for the past 41 weeks. I started to get really nervous, but had never been soo ready for anything in my life!

At 7:15, I was completely dialated & ready to go! Just over an hour later, I had the most adorable baby boy in my arms.

He loved gettin his hair washed! Although, he wasn't a very big fan of them scrubbing his body.

He's been such a good baby since he was born. He didn't even cry when he came out -Which was actually kinda scary, but he was wide eyed & lookin all around.. so he was perfectly fine!- Even when the nurse gave him his shots he didn't make a peep! The only time he even fussed at all the whole time we were in the hospital, was when they were scrubbing him during his first bath. He ate right after he was born, but since he had been awake the whole first 2 hours of his life, he was a little tired once we got up to our room & would rather sleep than eat. So they had to give him a couple CC's of formula with a syringe :/ That was the only time he had to have that though & ate really well everytime after! They took him down to get his blood tests & hearing screening, & he was such a lil champ.. didn't even fuss! He was perfectly healthy, didn't even have jaundice -his bilirubin levels were in the low risk zone, at 40%- and he passed his hearing test! He slept good the 2 nights we were in the hospital.. I actally had to wake him up to eat! haha.

Ryan was soo good to me the whole time. Since it was hard for me to get out of bed & move around alot, he changed all of Bransyn's diapers(I did try to help some of the times though!) & even woke up to get Bransyn out of his bed so I could feed him without being in pain. He also got everything for me, I think the only time I had to ask for something myself was when he was taking a nap! He helped me get in & out of bed everytime to help make it easier & as painless as possible. He was also such an amazing dad right away. He has definetely made Bransyn & I the two luckiest people in the world! (:
