Brans had yet another appointment with the specialist today, to try & figure out his pukey issues. When we went 3 weeks ago, he was still throwing up 1-3 times a week. Dr. Kaddu said to give him an additional 1/2 tsp of his medicine at nap time, along with the 1 tsp at bedtime. Well, he hasn't been throwing up AS much, but it's still happening occasionally. Well, this past week it's been more than usual, with 3 {almost 4} times, just since Friday. He's also been saying that his tummy hurts the past few times. Since he's now saying his tummy hurts, Dr. K wanted to have an ultra sound done to make sure everything is okay with his kidneys. Apparently sometimes kids are born with enlarged kidneys & that will cause them to throw up a lot. Obviously I hope nothing is wrong with his kidneys, but I am SO glad this doctor is at least having them checked to make sure they are okay. He also upped the dosage of his medicine in the afternoon to 1 tsp, instead of 1/2 tsp. I'm not very happy about this, because I hate filling him with medicine, when we haven't exactly ruled anything else out yet.
B-man did so good during the ultra sound (: At first, he was really scared cause he didn't know what the 'Blue doctor' {he was wearing blue scrubs, so B named him the blue doctor, haha} was going to do to him. But we were finally able to show him that it wasn't gonna hurt & he could see inside of his tummy on the screen, & he was okay after that. He kept saying 'That doesn't hurt!' & let the tech do exactly what he neededto! (:
